DVD Review: 22 Jump Street

DVD Review: 22 Jump Street

Cast: Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill

Run time: 120 minutes

DVD by: Home Entertainment Services by Sony DADC

Quick take: The coolest cops are back!

Cops Jenko (Channing Tatum) and Schmidt (Jonah Hill) return in full swing, this time as undercover agents. The two set out to find drug dealers among a group of students. And while doing so, Jenko makes a new best friend Zook (Wyatt Russell) and Schmidt unexpectedly hooks up with Maya (Amber Stevens). Since they’re in their 30s and don’t fit in college, they become laughing stocks for other students. This sequel to the hit flick 21 Jump Street is indeed a creative one and tickles your funny bone! The film moves fast and has no dull moments. It takes bromance to another level.

The extra features in this DVD only consist of a scene selection and preview option. Nonetheless, I enjoyed watching trailers of movies like, Sex Tape, This Is The End, Think Like A Man and many more the company offers... The DVD only offers subtitles in Hindi and English. But the flawless HD quality of the 16:9 wide screen and that of the Dolby Digital sound adds more to this film.

Final thoughts: 22 Jump Street is worth every penny spent. It is the kind of film you’d want to watch over and over again. Its one of the best ‘brom-coms’ you’ll ever watch! Give this DVD a place in your rack.
