I’d missed out on watching Guardians Of The Galaxy in theatres but was lucky enough to lay my hands on the DVD of this superhero flick. In the age of social media where every common man turns into a critic posting their thoughts on the film on social sites, I decided to know a few things about this film before watching it, hence I asked my colleagues. While some said that it is one of the best Marvel superhero flicks, some said it is one of the best films of 2014. So without wasting any time, I watched the film and instantly became a fan of this Marvel addition.
So the basic plot revolves around Peter Quill (Chris Patt) also known as Star Lord (loves listening to music of the 80s’ on his Sony Walkman) who has to save the world after robbing an orb. And to do so he forms his team consisting of Extraterrestrial Garoma (Zoe Saldana) and Drax (Dave Bautista) and also a talking tree (voice by Vin Diesel) and a talking raccoon Rocket (voice by Bradley Cooper).
Now this is the funniest sci-fi adventure you’ll see in recent times. There is an equal amount of action and comedy thanks to the merry-superhero team. You almost fall in love with Rocket and when you know that the voice is of Bradley Cooper’s you feel like taking him home.
The bonus feature includes only one deleted scene of merely 50 seconds. The scene, which is titled Fake Laugh, would not make that much of a difference if it would be included in the film but more such scenes in the DVD would surely be a delight for the fans.
The second bonus feature is a sneak peek into Avengers – Age Of Ultron. The makers promise that the sequel will give us the flavour of the world in the film as they’ve shot it in England, New York, South Korea and South Africa. The first day of shoot has cars flipping and full throttle action. Avengers introduce two new characters in the film, Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). The makers also look super excited to introduce their new villain in the film – Ultron.
This DVD is worth every penny if you loved Guardians Of The Galaxy. Another thing that makes it worth buying is that the Marvel gives you a glimpse of their next breathtaking superhero film in the making – Avengers.
